About Nick

So who am I?  I am a man who seems to have it all.  I have my soulmate by my side (see above!), have a loving family and an amazing group of friends.

Regarding my personality, I would say that I'm a lover of life.  I try to live my life to the fullest and love keeping myself busy and active.  I truly enjoy spending time with all these significant people in my life.  Sports are also very important to me.  My athletic passions are running, snowboarding, beach volleyball, and bowling (yes i said athletic passion!).  Being a pretty social guy, I'm truly looking forward to seeing all of Alison's family and friends that I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting.

About Alison

Meet Alison, the luckiest girl in the world! That's truly how I feel when I consider that I've found the love of my life, and that we're going to be able to spend the rest of our lives together. For the few of you that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting, I'd describe myself as a pretty passionate person! Some of the many things I love doing are traveling, snowboarding, horseback riding, and scuba diving. I also love animals and am a vegetarian. My Christian faith is an important part of my life. And all of my friends know that my favorite color is red! I'm a "Double Trojan," having attended USC for both undergrad and graduate school, and I go to all the 'SC football games I can, so this "About Me" wouldn't be complete without a Fight On!

How they met

The story of Nick and Alison began once upon a time, many years ago (ok, just three), in the land of the Trojans. They both started grad school at USC to pursue their MBA's in Fall of 2007, yet surprisingly given their social tendencies they actually didn't meet until their second year in the program, in 2008. Nick and Ali were basically just aquaintences even as they traveled to Singapore and Thailand together for a school trip in Spring of 2009. Later in the year they shared a class and were part of the same study group, where they became better friends. They discovered, as chance would have it, that they share October 1st birthdays so had a joint party to celebrate Nick's 30th and Ali's 27th, which was a blast!

Although it was through school that they were able to meet each other and become good friends, it was actually a few months after graduating in 2010 that Nick and Ali's relationship changed course and became romantic.

Ali likes to say Nick tricked her into a first date as she wasn't even sure if Nick was single when seemingly out of the blue he asked her out. It took a number of libations to be consumed before she was able to gather the courage to ask him about his intentions. As you may have gathered, he was in fact an elegible bachelor on the prowl. With two years of friendship under their belts, and more in common than just their birthdays, they instantly hit it off and have been in love ever since.
